The historical Burns Block at 18 West Hastings Street is a six-storey brick Edwardian building located on West Hastings Street in Vancouver. The building was built in 1909-10. As a result of a major heritage renovation undertaken by Reliance Properties and ITC Construction Group, today 18 West Hastings it is an award-winning renovated rental building in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside has gained much recognition for its contemporary ‘micro-loft’ concept. At approximately 270 square feet in size, the 18 West Hastings project’s 30 “micro-lofts” are the smallest self-contained rental apartments in Vancouver.
